Podiatry for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

What is the NDIS?

There are around 4.3 million Australians who have a disability. Within the next five years, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will provide more than $22 billion in funding a year to an estimated 500,000 Australians who have permanent and significant disability. For many people, it will be the first time they receive the disability support they need.

The NDIS can provide all people with disability with information and connections to services in their communities such as doctors, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as information about what support is provided by each state and territory government.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a national framework designed to support people living with disability and their families by ensuring they have access to the services they require. Adelaide Physio and Podiatry Clinic is a proud supporter of the NDIS and we are committed to providing exceptional, client-centred, outcome-focused therapy to people with disabilities and we will work with you to strengthen your capacity and achieve your goals.

How can we help people with disabilities?

To relieve discomfort and prevent pressure areas developing as well as trimming nails for those unable to reach or see their feet, we can provide general podiatry care.

We provide diabetic and arthritic evaluations as well as neurological and vascular assessments with advanced tools and technology.

Custom foot orthotics assist foot deformities, improve alignment and posture, relieve plantar fasciitis, bunions, ball of foot pain, arthritis and other foot disorders or to offload pressure from bony prominences.

We can measure and order medical-grade compression stock and recovery socks for leg swelling and tiredness.

In addition, we offer surgical evaluation, advice and recommendations for warts and ingrown toenails.
